I'm not sure if there is a blinker switch for a 38 Chevy pickup originally. I've seen blinker switches on them, but were they there originally or did they use their left arm? Thank you,

Most of them was left arm or when available,
Clyde for right turns.

So when were they available? I would like to know to where I keep it as original as possible. I don't get the Clyde picture though, thanks

there were no factory signals in 38, but as signals became common and required by law, many aftermarket units became available and many [most] vehicles were retrofitted ... your truck also wouldn't have had 2 tail lights, gonna stick with that? ... if you think folks nowadays understand hand signals, then try original

True, didn't think of that. Well, Jim Carter's Truck Parts has this small toggle switch blinker system apart from the brakes, so I'll just do that since it's small and hardly noticable. Thanks for the help!

If you are looking for period correct pieces the are available reguarly on eBay, very cool and very expensive usually. Search in the rat rod stuff you will find them. I did not say Chevrolet correct I said aftermarket period correct.
