What is a "reading unit" I am not too familiar with this term. The years of storage have not been too kind. Since it sat on a damp dirt floor, the underside has taken a beating from rust. The thicker frame is OK, but cab floor and steering components have dissolved away. I intend to re-build it so it looks similiar to the way it is now (except I'll change the paint color). I will also re-do the door painting....The Petaja Brothers are on my mothers side of the family. (The box that is the back half of your truck) They were used by various types of contractors for their work vehicles. If it is a Reading, it will likely say so on the back. I love it just the way it is, with the exception of a good bath & cosmetics. I am interested in seeing what you are able to do with your new project. Period door graphics are very popular today, so do what you can to preserve it, especially since it has some significance to your family.
