Here is a picture of our Burb (shop truck). It has a 292 6, 5speed trans, and a Lincoln 8.8 disc brake rear end with dearc springs. The front has a 4 inch dropped axle with mono leafs and a disc brake kit.

Was the lincoln 8.8 rear end an easy swap in? Did it give you a better top end speed? Please tell me what the engine and transmission you used came out of? I have a 1948 Suburban and want to do more then 55.
