Hardest search feature I've ever tried to navigate so I will no longer recommend it. Join me in making it an real issue with the management so we can get a real one. Add your vote

Geez, I hope you aren't a politician. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 207 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 207 | That's the first thing I noticed when I started looking at this site. The search engine is the worst thing I've seen. Good luck finding something.
Other than that...I love this site and it has been extremely helpful!

Maybe its because I am a computer dummy and don't know how. I sure would be open to a new easier one but on the other hand I would not want to make a lot of extra work for the good people that give us this wonderful site. Without the Stovebolt Page I would never have gotten my sub on the road. Kudos to John, Peggy and Paul and the others that make this such a valuable resource.

If you change that to search for posts older than one day you'll have better luck. It took me a while to realize this because the box is at the bottom of the page. With it limited to one week you usually get nothing in your search. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 119 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 119 | I too have used Google advanced search to search only this site. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,887 | | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 | The poll results are in. 27 YES and only 4 NO about needing a new Search Feature. I am forwarding this to the Administrators and hope they will give this the attention it deserves. Thanks to all who participated. | | |
