I bought this truck today and it has a few things it needs. For one it will need a frame paint. I was wondering what is best to use? I thought it was restored completely but it is not so now I want to finish it.
Thanks
Brad

I would use POR 15. It is the best stuff for the frame. People call it powder coat that you brush on. You can also just brush it on and will work great with the look of sprayed.

....I'll second the POR15. If you do a search on it you will find hours of reading!! Good stuff but be careful and follow the precautions and instructions.

What do you think about Zero Rust. I have used that product and it doesn't have the health hazards of the Por-15. I bought it because it was easy to find where I shop.

Zero Rust is excellent, and as you say Super55, much less toxic than alternatives

I used Zero Rust, on the Booms of the Holmes W45 Wrecker I just sold. I used the spray can version, & it was about 6 years old, & still holding up. I've also used POR 15, & as mentioned it's more toxic, & fades more with sunlight exposure.

The Zero Rust will fade too, but you can put the clear coat on it that protects it from fading. I love the spray can stuff.

I've allways used Jasco prep and primer, It's a good first coat after everything is as clean as possible. It's got the consistency of water so it gets in the seems. It's toxic so be carefull, I used foam brushes and a deck sprayer to apply. You want to wait days before the next coat. It"s at Lowes in quarts
