Yup, just another newbie checking in. I'm a retired guy, who likes his toys. I'm an old drag racer from the 60's and 70's, who raced in So. Cal at many of the famous dragstrips down there, like Lions, the old Irwindale and Ontario, but are now sadly all gone. Anyway, one of my current toys is what I consider a clean 56 Chevy pickup, that I'm using as a cool cruiser/driver. It's kind of a nostalgia thing for me, as I had another one back in the late 60's as a tow car. I'd like to thank Boyd (CB52)for the invite, you can blame him for my being here. I'm just beginning to look around in here, but it looks interesting so far. A great looking bunch of rides too. Hope to learn a lot here and be of help when I can. Thanks, Jean | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,185 Moderator | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,185 | Hey Jeans56, welcome. It's a nostalgia thing for most of us. We had a dragstrip nearby too, I was a spectator only, fond memories, for sure.
Hope you like it here, lots to learn and do.

Looks like we have a lot in common. Heck, I even met Boyd a couple weeks ago. Got to meet him and Susan while on a "vacation" where Trevor introduced me to a bunch of really great guys. Lots of info and great guys/gals around here and I'm sure you have a lot to offer yourself. As to the pictures, I'm not sure about posting them. Do I put some in this thread or start a new one, somewhere else? I just didn't/don't want to get thrown out on my first visit. Let me know and I'll put some up, as I'm not really the bashful type. Thanks again everyone. It's still a work in progress, but it gives you a better idea of what it's got and where it lives. Sorry about the color, in the first shot, Bill's camera had that color shot all wrong. Here's a link, I hope you like it. Jean http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/JEANS32/My%2056%20Truck/?albumview=slideshowPS. No Fords in this garage.
