Is there a sure fire way to be sure it won't leak after I replace the rubber gasket? Any special sealants? What is the torque spec for the bolts? Thanks. | | |

Just make sure the lip of the tranny is clean and the pan surface is flat, around the bolt holes is a critical area.

I make sure the gasket area on both the pan and trans are clean and dry. I use a nut driver to tighten the bolts, and make sure the pan is flat around the bolt holes. No sealer. | | |
