I bought the real thing from Mothertrucker. I paid a bit more than you guys. But I'm worth it.

Ive bought 2 sets of the repros. Heavy gauge metal and nicely done! Cant beat the price, including glass lenses.
Its one of the nicer repro. parts out there thats well worth the money and you dont have to fool around with the rusted housings, corroded bulb sockets,,twisted off studs,,etc...

The tailights are one reproduction part that compares to the original except price. I wish this was not true, I have several sets of originals and their value dropped when the reproductions came out

These look good and are much cheaper than the LED versions. Obviously, you think these are a better use of you money than the LED's, but what do the rest of you think?

Is it worth and extra $130 to buy the LED version?

One way or the other, I'm going to get a set of taillights, I'd just like to make the most informed decision.

Check your local laws, a lot of the aftermarket lighting is not intended for highway use and may be illegal in some states. I know of at least one set of those bright headlights I would like to introduce my ball-peen to.

The Filling Station has them for $95 for each side. I've been impressed with their service. It doesn't hurt that they're 20 minutes from my house.

The leds are available from numerous vendors. The led light assembly has an 1157 pigtail plug on it,all you do is push it in and turn it.I almost bought a set of them, but backed out.

Thanks. 12v: 47-55 panel accessory dual taillamps ("bullets") 12v LED dual-"filament" bulb

I'll have to check about the 6v tail lamp LEDs (1157 base) fitting into the bullet housing. Has anyone tried this?

The price $26.50) for the LED's for the bullet tail lights is the same as your everyday Car Show price.

You can usually get the regular stop/tail light LED's for about $30.00 ea at car shows.

All I have seen are 12 volt but that is all I was looking for.

Also look at this website www.mastlight.com they have bulbs for boats but they are the same as cars an 1157 is an 1157 nomater where you put it or what you put it in.
