Had to remove the seat on my 65 yesterday to pull the tank and found both build sheets under the springs. Carefully removed them and ran them through a scanner and put them back. Should I leave them in place or remove them for safe storage?

I would bag then put them back using a one-gallon zip-lock. They will continue to deteriorate at a slower rate but still be contained in the same place.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

It is common practice to laminate build sheets for future safe keeping. Most office supply stores have a laminate service.
