I have a 53 chevy truck that i have installed one piece glass and power windows. in the door i have already installed all the rubber tracks felt and window scrapers but i cannot find where or how the beaded window seals that mount horizontally inside the door are supposed to go any help??

Are you talking about the ones that attach to the inside of the window trim? If so they were originally attached with staples to the window trim. Eric

..... I am not sure if this is even related but sometime ago when I ordered all the stuff to rebuild the door windows and wing vents I ended up with some "window seals" like underwoodr has and I have never figured out where they go/went either. I still have them laying in my shop.
Elem, I know the ones your talking about and the beaded window seals I have are not the pieces that staple to the trim pieces.
I think its something for a different model that we ended up with ...perhaps because it all was a kit????
Maybe we just need to look at the parts list for other models.

A picture would help. Maybe the pieces that underwoodrr has left could be the same thing Achipmunk is talking about.

are you refering to a thin pc. of rubber bought 3/4" wide and approx. 16" long with a bead along 1 long edge ???

I figured it out. its because it staples to the inner window trim which i dont have. its hard to put the puzzle together without all the pieces.

on a different note i cannot find the innner door trim for my 53 doors. the tech guys at classic parts say that the 47-50 inner door molding will work since i have converted to one piece glass and i think this is the part i need to staple my felt to.

You could post an add in the parts wanted here on the bolt, someone will probally have them. Eric
