He wanted to donate an old 1941 1 1/2 ton delivery truck to our local historical society but needed $1500 to do it. The truck was not in too bad of shape so I lobbied the board of directors to take on the "living history" project as a way to get younger people involved in the society. The project created some interest but even more headaches (fo me) as some of the more vocal elderly women on the board could not sleep until this project was off their radar. So to keep the peace I purchased the societies interests and have begun this project on my own. The project is now well under way with the truck in as many pieces as you could imagine. The engine has been rebuilt and most of the rust removal, priming and some re-painting has taken place. I have taken a break from the project this past year to build a suitable garage for the finished truck. New heated garage finished, and it's nice and big.
Engine in frame and fresh painted cab will be mounted soon. Engine will be started soon (I hope).
