Id see if you cant make them fit with a little effort. Any grease that escapes the seals would be thrown by centrifigul motion to the braking surface of the pads and drums.

| | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | not really any 'fitting' involved - there's a slight shoulder at the back of the spindle, the shield sits on it [hole makes it snug, never seen one welded from the factory], the bearing and the back of the hub sit against it so it can't go anywhere .... not sure how tapered rollers would fit there, but if they sit in the hub the same way should work
