Does anyone reproduce these brown knobs for the heater vents?

I'm not sure what heater you have in your truck...but I noticed that the vent knobs on mine are similar to the ashtray pulls that are available as reproductions.

Unfortunately, I have not seen these in reproduction. They are Bakelite similar to the cowl vent knob.

I think you can get those from either jim carter or fillingstation.com. I think that is where I got my knobs from.

I think Tim S is correct on this one Jeff. I have never seen one for the '42-'46 trucks. Most of the knob repos are for '47 and up trucks. I haven't looked for a long time, so i could be wrong. Cecil........

I have decided to make my own. I will post the step by step guide to casting these parts.

Once I make the mold, I can cast as many as I want. Does anyone else need some?

Please do post some pictures of your casting method Jeff. I restore old radios and quite often they are missing the knobs, I'd like to see how you go about it.

I'm planning on casting the parts this weekend, so I will post the pics as soon as I finish.
