I want to leave the front end on the 53 flatbed, and put a 350 complete out of a 1974 chevy truck. would really love some up close pictures of how the motor and tranny mounts were connected and if they were made or purchased.I have been told by some to take the front fenders off and some say leave it in. thanks for any help | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | Quite a few guys here have their projects on line at Webshots or Photobucket. Search through the archives; you will find plenty of pics of how they mounted their engines. Don't bother looking at mine; I didn't keep the solid axle.

I used an aftermarket rear cross member that, when using these mounts, bolted right in the place of the old rear cross member....
BUT..I don't know if my 1/2 ton panel relates to your situation. Just trying to help. | | |
