AChipmunk told me I should leave a message here. who sells kits for power steering for a 52 Chevy? I am using a 235ci and I am wondering does the pump add any noticeable strain on the motor? what will I need for the swap? Is the bracket for a 235 available or do I have to make my own?

You won't find any new brackets for a 235, you will either have to build your own or find one. The other challenge you will have is getting a 2 groove crank pulley, the new ones are expensive. Give me your email address as I think the one I have on my truck will be available very soon.

I had the armstrong steering on my 1 ton, and had no problems. Then in the process of a disc brake install I ended up with power steering too... And it's great, you don't know how nice it is till you have it. The truck was not that hard to steer before, but now with the truck sitting still I can put one finger on the rim of the wheel and turn lock to lock, no comparison.

If you are creative you can drive the PS pump off a second belt grove on the generator pulley:

I guess i should have explained I Have a disability that cause my muscles to be somewhat weak. I would just feel safer having power steering. Not just for me but other drivers too. I was lucky when i got my pick-up someone in the past put a brake booster on it. if anybody can tell me what PS pump to use and the dimensions of the other parts required to make it work i could make them myself

A Saginaw P series pump is the best choice.
found on most all GM and IH trucks and cars from 60's to late 70's, and same thing but metric hardware starting early 80's. (all dates approximate)

The one in my picture linked above is one, with a reservoir for a remote can, most have an oblong reservoir folks call them a "canned ham pump"
