For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 | Needed to get a set of these for a buddy's truck. The ones that seal the ball housing to the transmission. In the past I have bought rubber ones but all the suppliers now tell me they can only get cork like the originals. Anyone have another source? There is a Fel-Pro number listed by some of these suppliers but it is not good. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | Classic Parts has some:

When I did my tranny rebuild, I bought their kit for the longbed and the ball seals were rubber. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 | Will try them. I emailed Jim Carter 3 days ago with a question about the material but never received an answer. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 | Bill, try Felpro #ES 72843
That kit has the various shim gaskets and the rubber seal that slips into the joint and compresses around the torque tube. | | |
