Jul 21st, 2025 | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 677 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 677 | Well I thought I had the brake problem fixed on my 51 I adjusted the clevis Rod between the master cylinder & booster and the front brakes ain't hanging up anymore and also ran brake lines to the rear disc and it's now got brakes all the way around but... When I step on the brakes the pedal almost go's to the floor and it doesnt come all the way back up ? I have to use my foot to bring it back up ! I ask a few buds and read on http://www.mpbrakes.com/technical-support/troubleshooting.cfm and they said that it could be that my Booster is bad. Any one have a idea on whats going on now ??? HELP ! This is driving me crazy. Todd

If original it goes forward to a C shaped bracket inside the frame about under the steering box, should have the clutch pedal return spring on one part, and the brake pedal return spring on the other.

You think it still has some air in the lines ? I was thinking about buying a power bleeder so I can do it by myself or breaking down and take it to a shop BUT....IF I can take care of it myself I would rather do that

I made the mistake on my '62 of over-adjusting the pushrod on my M/C,and had to re-adjust it a little at a time until I had everything where I liked it.

just a thought, how much pressure do ya get back on your pushrod when you push on it?? there should be a good amount of force pushin back at ya with no vacume on the diaghram, if there isnt maybe your booster has bought the farm???..the diaghram alone should push your pedal back up some.

Its like pushing on a brick, Ive never been really happy with it from the very first time, I bought a new one (Plus it gave me a reason to get a cool chrome one)  and it should be here in a few days.
