My friend has a Big Bolt grill for a 48 Chevy.

He measured the grill seems to be the same
width as a small bolt grill.

The deference appears to be one inch taller.

Can this be adapted to use on a small bolt?

If I remember correctly, the grill "bars" are the same but all of the mounting hardware and brackets are not.

I have no idea, but I still go by the old saying that there is no stupid question except for the one that is not asked.

I was given a chrome grille bar for my half ton by someone who found it at a swap meet. It did not fit.

RT1...The horizontal grill bars are exactly the same for light duty and heavy duty trucks. The vertical mounting bars for 1/2-1 ton trucks are the same height. The vertical bars for the 1 1/2 and 2 ton trucks are taller.
