WOW what a feeling!,after over 2 years the last item is checked off, at least for now Im done other than makin a Test run when the sun comes up.
Time to make a new checklist, but to avoid a divorce I will wait a year on New wheels, runnin boards, and a bunch a odds & ends.
She is Mechanically good to go, for the State Inspection.

I’ve been following your picture trail for a while and I’ve got one question that I wanted to ask but I didn’t want to jinx the project.
I’ve never seen as much as a scrap of paper, a spot of oil or a cardboard box from Jimmy Carters etc., in any of your pictures. How in the world do you restore a ’51 Stovebolt without getting the floor dirty???? You must be doing all of the dirty work over at your neighbor’s house or else your cleaning lady comes in every morning and tidies up after you leave for the office, right??? And then you still find time to squeeze in some fishin’, ahhh to be young and full of ambition again!

she passed inspection with flying colors, she is a LEAGAL BEAGAL now, so me an the wife just got back from puttin 100+ miles on her, Ran great!
She devolped a clankin noise like somethin came loose at around 70 miles, I told Bren well Hun that is what a test run is all abought!...so it is back in its stall coolin down she will get the PA bugs removed and a go over front to back for loose fasteners ..I may have overlooked.
BUT ALL IN ALL A FANTASTIC DAY!

But it is HERE, actually next weekend will be SHOP CLEANIN top to bottom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like a clean organized shop and right now its a MESS, been comin down the homestretch and been slackin,But today was worth all the mess!

Yup found it ...1/2 wrench I misplaced a year ago found its way down to the frame and was stuck between the cab and frame on a bolt that i used to attach the Conduit I ran from the rear for all the wiring. and was swinging around...It is now back in the tool box. HELLO! Well the rear bumper was fabricated by my Uncle in Texas (po)...it is a 1 of a kind.
along with the Tool box Im currently preppin to paint, Pic coming soon of it.
the rear axle was already in when i got the truck, it is 76 malibu rear with the coil spring perches & trailing arms removed,Unlce just took good measurements of teh center of the original axle before removing it and installing the malibu rear.

In a Heart Beat!,actually this winter my 75 Laguna is comin to the shop after a VERY LONG hibernation in my fatherinlaws storage, Time to get on that Ol Gal, that one will be MINE, the 52 will prob. go to my youngest Son when he he is of age it will definaltely be around as long as I am ...I love the Ol Bolt.
But my Laguna is my dream project, only 5700 of em ever made and I have had mine since I was 16 so it is comin for TEAR DOWN this fall.

My Edelbrock intake is for a spread bore and after i placed the gasket down for the square bore on it it seemed like it was coverin good ENOUGH..NOT!
So i went with the Techs advise on the DVD included with the carb ..got the recommended adapter (they give ya the part # on the DVD)..so 45 minutes later she is purrin like a DREAM! followed the rest of the DVD to the letter on tunin...GUESS WHAT..?... SUPER RUNNIN ENGINE!
SOMETIMES IT IS BEST TO READ & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!
I guess i let the I DONT NEED NO STINKIN DIRECTIONS that come with the male DNA bite me this time ..lol
but all in all she ran OK before ...NOW SHE IS RUNNIN!!!OMG ..she is runnin!..found out real quick on a test run that ya dont need much throttle NOW to be all over the road in a heart beat!
So my advise is this ...That pc. folded paper ..READ IT 10 TIMES~
If it comes with a fancy shiney disk watch it 10 times also!
