Hi, I need to add a price to my add. I have no idea what it is worth. Looking input. It is in Minnesota. Runs good and hoist and box are strong. Not rusted out or banged up. I would say it is in good condition considering its age. Tires and Brakes are poor. Thanks for you comments.

The prices on these are all over the place. They are not listed in the guide books. A real good one sells for about $3500. If it needs work it will be worth less. Most everyone wants the light trucks especially 1/2 tons.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

The last 2 ton that I bought I paid $500 and drove it home. They're just old trucks around here,

I have to agree with Scott Ward, I just bought a 46 ton and a half. It runs and dumps and the body is sound. I paid $750.

Man, bring that thing to the Middle Atlantic Coast and get at least twice that (supposing, of course, you find one of us who likes conventional AD Big Bolts...) If I found a truck like that around here for $750 I would break my arm writing the check so fast!

Yikes!!! You mid westerners have it GOOD!!!

John, most of the ones I see around here are too far gone, or not for sale if they're in good condition, or are way too much(like $5000 and not restored) to pay for. Maybe I'm just in a bad location for good old trucks.

Considering you could drop a 1000 bucks into the brakes and then figuring the tires doesn't leave a lot of room to spend major money on this truck.
It appears to have 3 piece wheels, at least the left front, are the rest the same type of wheel.
Wish I could see it,I've got some friends who live up Rt59 north of DL, maybe they could come and look it over.
Where's your add for the truck to be ?
Dan

I'm sure the wheels are all original or the same. I placed an add in Swap Meet. I did put a price in but from the comments here I am asking to much. But I will look at any offer. I am taking more pictures of it today for some other folks. I will post them. Thanks, Ron

Ron, I don't know much about prices but I don't think that's a bad asking price for a truck that appears to be in good condition. Of course if it's not well then I don't know.

Your price @$1300 is fair and marketable. I see lot's of these for sale @ $2500 or more and they do not sell very fast. If you price it under $1000 it should sell if there is someone who wants it locally. It's a big truck to haul and it appears that it's not drivable in it's present condition. Hose out the cab and clean it up and you may get more. Your cab is a 47/48 and you have a later 235 engine. Look for the castings on the engine for correct year. Post it on craig's list in your area too.

According to the "QW", on the ID plate, your truck is a 1947 model, 161"in. wheelbase, 6400 series 2 ton.
