My question is, does anyone know what the gears are in a 52-54 chevy car that would had had the 3 speed std trans ? thanks

I ran the 3:55 powerglide car rear under my 46 half ton for a long time, easy swap. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 649 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 649 | 52-MOBIL, I wanted to do the same thing on my 53 AD, but found out the rear axle/torgue tube is shorter and narrower. It came out of a 54 two door car. So I suggest you get out the tape measure. I think it will work on the 41-46 trucks. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | That's the way I understand . The powerglide rear end will fit the older models but not the AD's. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though.
