I changed wheel cylinders thinking that had to be it, but that was not the prob. Master cylinder is not that old, Somtimes they release and sometimes they don't. weird. One guy at work said the inside of the old hoses might br braking down and little peices of rubber stopping things up. I have bled them and bled them. What do yall think? Any suggestions? thanks. 1965 stepside, drums all the way around. old style single master cylinder. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 238 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 238 | It would be worth checking that you still have some free move ment on the pushrod that goes into the master cylinder, if the master cylinder recovery port gets closed off through the pushrod not having free play, it can cause the brakes to bind on.

Also make sure the emergency brake cables are not sticking. They can hold the shoes off the anchors.

replaced that line all is well
