Anyone know if anyone is making the molded rubber floor matt's? It would be for a 1965 LCF-80 Thanks!!!!

But I had considered putting down some saran wrap or some thin sticky plastic, then have spray in bed liner applied to that, trim it and remove the plastic, and you have perfectly fitting molded floor mat.
Just an idea, as I have not tried it.
Also want to think about trapping water between it and the floor. And if you use any sound deadening or insulation first how would that work?

Hi Grigg. Interesting idea but most, probably not all, of the sparay in liners are way too solid for what your suggesting. I've looked at a dozen or more and they are too thick, too solid or smell. But still an interesting idea if you can come up with the right product.

I had Reflex brand bed liner sprayed in the 61 Ford once I got it home and cleaned out. The Reflex stuff is really rubbery, about like tire rubber, or slightly softer, but a tad harder than an inner tube. They can put it on as thin or thick as you want.
I used that brand because they are local, I know the owner, and they did my Dad's truck bed. He said it would help lots with the sound. In the end it was OK, but not worth the effort if sound deadening was the only goal. It did smell pretty bad for about 2 or 3 days, I was not warned or expecting that, and a day after it was sprayed I drove to the Colorado show, even with the windows open it was a little strong. Smell went away all together in about a week.
I am sure the Reflex brand stuff would be good for a flexible removable floor mat, about 1/4" thick would be good.

Just recently I had the end of my fuel tank coated with Line-X, and inquired about having my cab floor and under my fenders and cab coated. They had a sample and it was really hard, almost like Masonite, not rubbery at all.
I also told them about my less than satisfying results with the Reflex brand stuff used on the cab floor for sound deadening. The Line-X folks explained it to me, and I forget all the details, but something about more of one ingredient in their stuff and less in the Reflex brand. They say that Line-X will do a far superior job of sound deadening than Reflex, and they regularly get vehicles in to coat the inside just for that purpose.
Line-X did not smell at all even an hour after it was done, I had the fuel tank in the back seat of the truck for the 3 hour ride home, no smell.

So, Reflex brand may be great for a removable floor mat, and Line-X may be best for a permanent coating and sound deadening.

in my 49 i put on the roll on type of truck bed liner on the floor. later i went back and added a floor mat.

Grigg I built a custom speaker box in the cab of my toyota that was molded to the back of the cab perfectly. The way to do this is using aluminum foil. Tape small pieces all over and you have a durable removable layer to adhere whatever to. I built the box out of fiberglass and it turned out wonderful. Im sure you could do the same with any type of material. I coated the back with resin and applied the fiberglass directly to it.

Just an idea. No worries of any of the stuff eating through the foil either!

Floor Mat for the '60-'66 Chevy LCF's not being reproduced. Back when I had my LCF's, I had tried to find someone to reproduce them, but never found anyone interested. One of my LCF's had a complete, near perfect mat in it.
