I just uploaded some pics of the weekend progress in my photo bucket for anyone that wants to take a peek.
And a tip on Grill install ...after a long night in the shop an bein tired we started to install the RE-POP grill , after lottsa 4 letter words and a few thrown wrenches it was evident that it was time to stop set back and crack open a Frosty one an call it quits for day!
I came down to the shop at 3am NO ONE around turned on some tunes an set to work Boy did it go so easy after that ...still had minor alighnment issues to deal with .
So my tip is to have No-One lookin over your shoulder and pushin while your pullin , etc ...take your time and do it by yourself with no distractions and it will come together much easier !!

Good job, it looks great! I like the color, I had thought about painting my Suburban white because it's an original and uncommon color, really makes the chrome jump out. However, the wife thought she would like it blue.

We hear a lot about the headaches involved in installing a repop grill and how it takes some "tweaking" to get it to fit. Can you explain what is involved in "tweaking" that thing?

Here is one tip , I ended up alighning the factory holes in the inner fender to the fender and used 2 of the smallest vice grips in my box on each side to hold them in place (there is room if ya put the vice grips on from inside the fender well & just catch the 2 pcs of sheetmetal) , I then loosened up some of the bolts holding the bars of the grill to let it flex a bit easier(ones I knew I COULD GET TO AFTER THE GRILL WAS IN),actually after that it went pretty smooth had to use a small philips screw driver in each side to help hold the grill and move it to alighn and start the first bolt on each side ,after that I was able to start all the bolts an then tightened everything up.
WHALLA ! DONE !
