Technically, I'm not a real new Stovebolter, but since everyone else comes here for a welcome, I figured I would too. smile

Koolcar, I live in Marco, Greene County. I wish that you lived closer so you could help me! Just wish the weather was better so that I could go get a '54 Chevy 3100 that I fell in love with the first day I saw it. Thing is, I'm 13 and the first time I saw it was 2 years ago. Got the money to get it last year but my mom didn't think that I would work on it. Got the money this year and now the weather's too bad right now. If you lived closer and had a trailer I could sure use your help getting it home. But since it's only like 5 or so miles away, I'm probably going to pull it home with a chain or if I can borrow a tow dolly, then I'll do that.

Ok, I will. Just waiting for Gas and Koolkar to help when they can to get it home. Also, the '54 is in about as good condition as the pics you have of your truck, just less paint and more surface rust.

Hey, you know what, that works. The important thing is you have a good solid truck to start with. You'll have lots of fun. Kinda wish mine was a 3100, too, but what the hey. I had it in the plans to change it to a shortbed to start with. Now, just to find a 3100 frame.....hmmmmm.

Aww Crap! Will somebody please close that door to Indiana? They are about to out number us Texans.

Welcome anyway.

Well, I haven't run into him there yet, but I don't know how we would outnumber you! You guys down in the very south have all of the good bodied trucks, so why ain't there more of you? By the way, this 13 year old ain't going anywhere soon!

Not to worry, jdl. You live too far from me...my Wife would question a roadtrip from Nebraska to Indy! wink grin

I've just always liked the look of the shorter bed. One of them things.
