I has the original wheels and hub caps. I thought it was a steal at that price. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 1,403 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2007 Posts: 1,403 | Yep, I think it is, cause some people on here have been doing restoration on their vehicles for a couple of years and spent $5000 and not finished yet. So, if you bought it in worse condition, for $8,500 a few years ago, you would still have ended up having to pay the same price. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 507 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 507 | Jeff, it at Qualcom stadium off of I-15 in San Diego. I think I already lost the keys to my truck. There are a couple of small problems with it but nothing serious. The clutch needs to adjusted and the drivers side door doesn't stay closed. I think I need to get a new door latch. I looked the truck over from top to bottom and can not find a spec of rust on the body. They sent the original hub caps but not the wheels. I'll have to pick them up around here or find something that is close. The steering and front king pins feel nice and tight. We drove it around the block with my wife setting next to me keeping the door close. I just hope nobody saw that because it looks really funny but I felt like I was back in high school with my girl friend sitting next to me (I wonder if kids now know that feeling). I'm looking right now on where to find a new latch so if anyone knows of a good place to get parts please let me know. Knowing how my wife feels about this old truck I'm going to have to get fixed in a hurry. If you check out the LINKS page, there is an abundance of truck parts sites most of them tried and tested by Bolters from the site. Congrats on the new addition!
