Is there anyone which have bought anything from this shop.
http://www.truckandcarshop.com/
They have a onlinecatalog that is pretty good, w pictures of every part. I just need to make shure they send the correct parts before I order. I am having it shipped to Norway so returning parts is not really an option.

Looks like they carry a lot of parts, however I have never used them.

I have ordered from them online and I've bought from them at a swap meet. No problems to report.

Also called "Truck Shop". Probably the best prices of all the vendors. And all that repop stuff is the same. But, the customer service of truck shop is definitely lacking. You can almost count on them screwing up your order one way or another. With any luck, most of the order will be correct. You want good customer service, I recommend American Classic.

I've bought parts from them at swapmeets, but I've never ordered from them, they have the same parts as the other suppliers, but are a tad cheaper...

I haven't, but their prices look competitive.

Have used them many times and have had very good results. One monor problem with a mis-marked gasket and they shipped the correct one and a pick-up ticket for the return. Prices are usually a little cheaper. I recommend them.

I've used them many times via website, phone and swap meets. Prices very reasonable but like Brian mentioned, they are lacking in customer service. I understand they hire a lot of college students to answer the phones. I personally never had a problem with em.

I have also used them several times. They have never screwed up one of my orders but I believe their shipping costs are sometimes excessive. For example the long cowl replacement panel from Classic Parts is $7.95 to ship and about $4.00 dollars more, Truck and car shop lists this as oversize which eats up the $4.00 and then some.

I buy a lot of parts from them because they are close by and I can finish jobs sooner. There are 4 or 5 other vendors in this area with the same stuff. Prices are competative. They have made mistakes on parts but make it right when I take them back. Overall OK.

I have used them quit a bit and find the quality of the parts and the shipping time are great. Had a wrong part shipped when I ordered a heater core for my 68, called and talked to them, and got a pick up auth and the shipper picked up the wrong part the next day and new part received in 2 days. I would recomend them. Just be sure to order the part # that you need and problems should be at a minimum as with any business mistakes do happen and as long as the problem can be solved quickley it doesn't usually pose to much of inconvinence.

I have used them in the PAST but I found I can get along without them. Their customer service is awful AND their shipping charges are ridiculous!! If you want service, price and best shipping around give JimCarter a call. I've bought from Jim and some of the other vendors since 1994 and Jim has them beat all around.
(nope, this is not a paid advertisement) smile

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
