Or does anyone have a spare set of original 50's brackets so I can update my 48 Chevy to tube shocks? I have been daily driving it with wore out knee-action shocks for only about 20 yrs (off and on), so figure it was about time to get "real" shocks on the little ole' '48.

I measured the position for the front mounts from another 53 and bolted them on using Grade 8 bolts. However I still have not mounted the rear brackets and wonder how critical the angle should be. | | |

NAPA changed the number for the rear shocks to #94004 and they were $11.90 each. Best part is that they have 2 in stock at my local store. Now the task of removing the old original ones. | | |
