The stock frame doesn't get cut that far back so the stock pedal assembly is fine. You can then either purchase the kits that use the stock pedal or go with a booster/master cylinder unit on the firewall.

I purchased a "universal" gas pedal unit with polished aluminun that fastened to the firewall and works great. For the brakes I used a stang 11 booster and master cyl. I did have to fabricate a bracket to hold it and actually made the pedal but it sure works good UNDER THE FLOORBOARD where the original was and it left the firewall nice and clean under the hood. ITs been 5-6 years and no problems. Think about it. I'm sure some others around close have done the same thing that you could look at.

Have you done a search for "booster" I remember a long while ago one of the members drawing up some diagrams for using the original pedal and a booster. I can't remember who it was. Hopefully one of the other member can.

I've used a booster from a '75 Chevy truck and a master for a '66 Catalina (4 wheel drum system)and mounted them under the floor in the stock location. There was a lot of modifying involved but it was worth it. The gas pedal I used was from the same truck. It was a cable type that is simple to install.
