Great write up. I'm looking forward to the day when my truck will be road trip worthy.
Gotta ask. Do you have the electric fan on a relay?

That was quite a trip indeed. I heard at the truck show that you had encountered some problems, but I didn't know that you had that many.

Very nicely done, thanks for sharing that with us.

I am looking forward to next year.

That is a very nice write up, and sounds like a great adventure.

I got a couple of rolls of duct tape in my truck that John threw out a show last year. You know never know when you might need it....

your trip sounds like it was full of memorable moments, i once drove my 67 vw bus 1750 miles straight one way to a car show and never turned it off, for fear that it would not start back up!!!, come to find out a year later the heat from my exhaust would create resistance in the starter wires when hot and it would barely turn over. i think that road trips are great in a classic.

great story

Oh Cletis, Great story!! Glad you hadn't forgotten (June said you all would write it down). I'm glad you did.

You and June may not have made the "group picture" but it looks like you story may be the report from the Event. I'll have to dig up some more of the pictures of you and June, tho! smile

Great story-telling. Good job.

Great write up Cletis. I especially like the dog trailer; the dogs look positively gleeful in there, well, at least one of them does.

Looking at the photo at Jack Stack's its apparent why folks in KC were asking about my tan. Gosh, all I do is get out on the Harley and walk the beach sometimes.

It would certainly be an adventure to drive out to KC next year in Viejo. Perhaps we can get a caravan going.

We're going to try to make a road trip next year. John's gonna take the whole week off. It'd be neat if he could bring the '49 1.5-ton. Me and Jennifer Marlow will fly out so that we can do the live-action reports from the hotel! Oh, and set up some details for the big event. Yea, that's right.

grin
