But when I found a deal on a 63 C10 Fleetside up the street from me, I had to get back on the computer to tell ya'll about it. I go to get it Friday. Needs a motor and trans, but I am hauling a Blazer for a guy in trade for a 350 motor and TH400 trans. Not that I needed another one, I still have my 65 about 2/3 the way done in the garage. Oh well, maybe this 63 will take priority over the 65 since it is closer to being road worthy and farm duty ready. Truck has no brakes, it was on a hill in a driveway and my winch broke. Then we started to roll it towards the trailer. BANG it hit the trailer fender and bent that up. After recruiting a third set of muscles, we got it on the trailer. Taking it off was a breeze in my level yard.
Truck is real straight and has been well cared for over the years. Frame is already painted, body lines are straight, bed is near perfect except for the steel plates welded to the floor over the factory wood. All glass is good. "Men" love to brag on how much they spent on their rigs. My husband struts around a lot. He got his truck for free. A 88 S15. Been sitting FOR YEARS. The guy gave it to him for about $75 worth of work. So no out of pocket. He had a brain storm and went and bought it a new battery...$50 later he drags me out of the house to see his $50 truck he just bought. Dang thing still running, passed smog and all, been a road worthy $50 find for 2 years now! He is always grinning and saying see my $50 truck See it! only paid $50 for it!
