Hi All,
I found this forum through many searches on Google and have come to the conclusion, "it's the best out there - hands down". The topics, solutions and best practices are a great source of information for a guy like myself. I've been around body shops and the like for the better part of my younger years and am handy in my own write, but not an expert by any means. The things I found being discussed here have been a great source of not only information, but also inspiration.
I hope I can contribute as much as I take away from this site and all it's members. I look forward to posting what progress I make on my build as well as keep up with all of yours.

Cheers,
Jim

Hey Big Chevy, Lori

These are a few pictures that were given to me from the guy I bought it from. I have plenty more that I plan on posting. It has a SB 327 with 4 on the floor. It still has the orig 10 bolt rear and suspension. I updated the old manual breaks to a dual res. MC and all new lines, wheel cylinders and pads last year. I plan on trying to get it on the road “legally” this summer.
It still needs plenty of work though.
- New bed
- New elec
- Exhaust (headers back)
- Seals (doors rattle)

Thanks for the welcome . . .

Welcome to the BOLT Jim, looks like a solid old truck. I'm a fan of the 327's as well, my 59' has a 68' 327 with a muncie M22 and a 12 bolt. Still a long way to go on mine, maybe this summer he'll be back out on the roads. grin

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

You guys/gals are the best!

I'll post more pics tonight. Interior, engine, bed to share exactly where the 57's at and to also document its return to the street.

Jim

Jim,

You have arrived at the best site on the web for finding help for these trucks. I don't post much, but I am here almost everyday trying to absorb some of the vast knowlege the members are very willing to share. I chip in when I think I can add something, but I'm still on the steep part of the learing curve.

Welcome.
