Has anyone done this AND kept the stock height, 6 lug pattern, and torsion bar IFS?
A couple of the usual vendors have the kits, but none with spindles for retaining stock height. One of them has everything I want except that their spindles give a 2 1/2" drop. I also need a kit with the provisions for the hydraulic clutch. I'm hoping someone out there has done this. Thanks

Hey halfpint, nice truck! I dig those hoods. Thanks for the link. That's the best bet I've got so far with what I've found. They say on that page that it may not work with factory drum wheels. My wheels were made by Stockton Wheel with original centers on new rims to allow for tie rod clearance AND accept good radial tires. They are still mounted on the same original factory drums. I'll have to check it out. Cheers!

Don't be sorry yet. It does say it MAY not work. I'm an optimist.

eek I guess I'll have to get a third job. It's actually not bad and they include everything. Shouldn't skimp on the brakes anyway. Thanks Zenish

CPP has a kit you can keep the stock height. We just ordered and got mine (but we went with the drop). Give them a call. 800-522-5004.

Go to:

http://www.scarebird.com/

and talk to Mark, he's done conversion kits using a custom bracket and off the shelf parts for many applications. If he doesn't already have a bracket for your truck he might make a one for you. Good prices, nice product.

This is going to be a show-stopper on any disc brake conversion. The brake caliper will not clear the corner radius on the older wheels.
