Happy Holidays to all the stovebolters out there. I am posting this topic in hopes of finding the person/persons that cut the fence at my shop at 560 South 11th, Kansas City, KS on or about December 20, 2006 and stole many parts from my collection of '64-'66 Chevy trucks.

The theft is being investigated by the Kansas City, KS police department, however I am hopeful that someone will try to pass some of the stolen items on to fellow stovebolters. I am also offering a $500.00 cash reward to the individual that provides information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the person/persons that stole these parts from my shop.

These parts are for '64-'66 Chevy trucks and include a factory anodized aluminum grille, factory chrome bumper guards, factory chrome bumper, factory front fender (red with '66 C20 Custom Camper emblems), factory grille support, factory AM radio, factory Deluxe steering wheel/horn ring, aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, chrome valve covers, chrome single chamber master cylinder, billet aluminum crank pulleys, billet aluminum water pump pulleys, polished aluminum short water pump and many other factory and aftermarket engine parts.

Although many of these parts will be difficult to identify, I am hopeful that the sheet metal items with the red & white paint will make them stand out. This is a shot in the dark, however I know the stovebolt community is far reaching and I want to alert as many people as possible.

Happy Holidays and if Santa trys to sell you some HOT '64-'66 Chevy truck parts, let me know. Thanks in advance for everyone's assistance, espcially the stovebolters in the Kansas City area.

Tony,

I'll definitely be on the lookout. Hopefully the guilty party or parties will be brought to justice soon.

I'd watch ebay and Craigslist for those parts.

For my personal truck parts I take a small metal stamping set and mark the parts with the serial number of the truck in an inconspicuous place before I store them.

I have a few fellow stovebolters on the lookout on eBay and Craigslist for these parts. Stamping parts is a great idea, unfortunately I didn't do it before the thieves hit. Lesson learned. Happy holidays.

Here's a lump of coal and some switches to go in their stocking! Hope you find them.

I hope it's not the case here, but it's usually someone you know, that does these things. Sorry for your loss.

Man, Tony that sux. Thieves are thick around here, the meth heads stay up all night looking for stuff to steal. Someone knew what you had, prolly saw it & came back for it. Some of that rare stuff may wind up on ePay. I will keep an eye out in this area & also tell Mr. Byrd who sells 67-72 pickup stuff in Bald Knob. Not sure if anything will come this far but ya never know. Stamping would be a good idea, but nothing a grinder wouldn't make quick work of. Brian

I,ll be watching for them too. I hate thiefs. It,s just so depressing to get ripped off, like you have been invaded.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

I'll keep an eye out here in the Des Moines area. There is normally some amount of auto parts on Craigslist for this area. I'll also watch the news paper ads here.

Merry Christmas.
