on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 975 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 975 | I placed an order this morning for a tailgate , chrome headlight rings and a seat re-cover kit.
Other than glass...I think the blood letting on my bank account will soon end.
Since the name "in progress" applies to all of us, I highly doubt it...wonder what I am forgetting...
But I can see the end to the major spending!!!
I still need my fenders back and to paint them, but Spring is looking fun next year! The passenger side door is done. The glass is in. The sound of a stovebolt door shutting up tight sure sounds good. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 23 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 23 | Originally posted by 46 In Progress: ...I think the blood letting on my bank account will soon end. I have too much (blood letting) ahead of me to even think about it! By the time I get through even these hungry Alaska mosquitos won't bother landing on me.

I maid this plack years ago, with chunks of aluminum that all started life as a verry high doller big block chevy bottom end. They are now shalacked to a peace of wood with a little word of wisedom below (If your going to play your going to pay). By the way the motor that gave it's life to make the plack did so befor it ever maid a single pass. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 975 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 975 | Don't get me wrong folks..I love spending money on my truck...just not at the pace I have been over the past 12 months.. It will be nice to be able to drive the beast by spring and enjoy the fruits of my labor. The spending will drop to a trickle compared to the cash I have been dropping as of late... unless I buy that 54 I have my eye on! | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 688 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 688 | Originally posted by gazim: Originally posted by rust & grease: [b] Originally posted by 46 In Progress: [b] ...I think the blood letting on my bank account will soon end. Although I'm gonna go pick up a 235 for mine this week. Mine might never make a show winner but hopefully a good work truck. Although I did inquire about another project yesterday. I'll let yall know about it if it comes about. :rolleyes: | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,445 Moderator - The Electrical Bay | | Moderator - The Electrical Bay Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 3,445 |

I don't want to have to purchase a $$$ radiator or $$$ wiring kit or.....and have the warranty drop off before I even have the chance to turn the key (I'm hoping that I will be in position to do my maiden voyage by September of next year).
So I've been plotting the schedule of purchases so that I minimize my exposure.
Toxictiki - Perhaps I shouldn't have, but I have been keeping track of both expenditures AND labor hours. Yes, I expect I'll need resuscitation when I add it all up! ;'}
Everything is different now...

That is what makes this site so great, you can see what others have done. Then as soon as the mock-up is done you get to pull it all apart and depending on how picky you get some times you do this three or more times. We enjoy this, are we nutz????????????? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,602 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,602 | I agree. I've purchased many parts only to discover I don't like what I've got or choose to go in a different direction. Good thing is most stovebolt sponcers will take that parts back in exchange for others. | | |
