I am considering replacing my cab mounted gas tank . I am looking at getting an under bed floor rear mounted poly tank for the 63 - 66 trucks . Has anyone done this ? It looks like it hangs lower than the differential in any pictures I have seen . The one I am looking at is 13" deep . Any experiences anyone want to share ?

It will stick a couple of inches above the frame, then the thickness of your frame which would be 4" to 7" then the left over 4" to 7" would hang below the frame. It may be a problem on a lowered truck. My 63 is a jacked up 4X4, so this wasn't a problem for me,

That is not so bad . I had measured down from the bottom of the frame and thought that would be pretty low . I would have to remove the small crossmember in that area to get it to go between the rails , but that should be no problem . Thanks .
