Usually it's me that has a new project idea before the last one is finished. This time it was the wife's idea that arose before my project (my 65 C10) was done. I had said once that I wanted a 32 Duece Coupe for my 32nd birthday (2007). This evolved into a 32 Chevy PU since I am a Chevy PU kind of guy. She comes out to the garage the other day and says "I want to see you build a truck from scratch." REALLY!? So now the plan is in my head to build a hot rodded 32 Chevy Pickup from scratch- cab, chassis and all! Yeah, I am that crazy, but I will do it, just as soon as the 65 is done.

You are a lucky man. My wife wants me to do her a car, so I guess we will find something she wants.

kruizeag,
What's crazy about that? That's how I did my '49. The best thing about doing it that way is you get exactly what you want. Go for it. You've got the hardest part done- talking Mama into it! Good luck.

I wish my wife would just be happy that i'm not out drinking and carousing, when i'm in the garage tinkering.

Kruizeag, I also have a 1932 Chevy pickup that I bought back in 1962. They are really rare, I have only seen 2 in Hot Rod and Street Rod magazines. Had a friend that had one too, so yours and mine are a couple of survivors of about 6 to 8 known to exist. I am doing the hot rod treatment to mine. I'd really like to know what you are doing to yours, if you're interested in corresponding my e-mail address is: [email protected] I also have a 1932 Chevy 2 door sedan and a 1954 GMC 100 series pickup.

As chevman said you're seeking a rare bird. It would probably be quicker, cheaper and easier to start with a glass body & whatever chassis you choose to use.

Can you and your wife come hang with me and mine for a few weeks? Maybe some of you wifes attitude will rub off on mine.

You're right Rusty Rod-I guess the years of telling her I could be spending my time and money out drinking and fooling around have come back to bless me!
Toyvo-I'm afraid if I loan her out to any one I may not get her back.

kruizeag,
I want on the bandwagon also. Ya can e-mail me with any ideas ya come up with on the 32 pickup. I have a 31-1.5t sittin in my buddies field. He gave it to me a year ago, I just haven't had time to go fetch it. The frame is butchered, but what's left of the cab, front clip etc. isn't in to bad of shape.
