This time it was the wife's idea that arose before my project (my 65 C10) was done. I had said once that I wanted a 32 Duece Coupe for my 32nd birthday (2007). This evolved into a 32 Chevy PU since I am a Chevy PU kind of guy. She comes out to the garage the other day and says "I want to see you build a truck from scratch." REALLY!? So now the plan is in my head to build a hot rodded 32 Chevy Pickup from scratch- cab, chassis and all! Yeah, I am that crazy, but I will do it, just as soon as the 65 is done.

That's how I did my '49. The best thing about doing it that way is you get exactly what you want. Go for it. You've got the hardest part done- talking Mama into it! Good luck.

They are really rare, I have only seen 2 in Hot Rod and Street Rod magazines. Had a friend that had one too, so yours and mine are a couple of survivors of about 6 to 8 known to exist. I am doing the hot rod treatment to mine. I'd really like to know what you are doing to yours, if you're interested in corresponding my e-mail address is: [email protected] I also have a 1932 Chevy 2 door sedan and a 1954 GMC 100 series pickup. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | here is a pix of one that isn't hot rodded click here and one that might be click here Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 Ex Hall Monitor | | Ex Hall Monitor Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 6,378 | As chevman said you're seeking a rare bird. It would probably be quicker, cheaper and easier to start with a glass body & whatever chassis you choose to use.

The frame is butchered, but what's left of the cab, front clip etc. isn't in to bad of shape. resto44 [email protected] | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 640 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 640 | Hmmm...I wonder what she's doin' while you're out in the garage..... | | |
