Im a pretty skilled bodyman and it doesnt seem that difficult but dont want to ruin my cab finding out it cant be done. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 | It's easy to do on the outside. It's the inside that makes it hard. I had to put a new roof on my 63 big window with a roof from a 63 small. I took the inside from the old roof apart at the upper seam and welded it into the roof of the small window replacement roof. I've never tried just a conversion, but I would bet money you'll have to find a donor to get the inside sheetmetal to make it look factory. Once you have the two cabs next to each other, the difference is obvious, Scott | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 2,384 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 2,384 | check out Chevytalk or 67-72chevytrucks, there is a fella from Vacaville who is doing to his 66,,his handle is hilander451, IIRC,,brian | | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 1,552 | The information below is an excellent source for the small to big back window conversion. Project Old School has many excellent technical articles for the '64-'66 Chevy trucks.
