What should be the max speed I'm lookin' at and what they're designed for?
I'm driving tomorrow to Seattle and am deciding whether I should go the Interstate with max of 70 or take a side old highway at a slower speed closer to 55 mph. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 738 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 738 | My 61 has the granny low 4spd attatched to its 235 and I feel mean going much more than 55-60. When I am on the highway I try to cruise at 55 and enjoy the scenery. This strategy makes the freeway a little akward, but I find that I can usually tuck in with a trucker or other slow mover and do fine. If not I just smile and wave, most people get the idea. They look at the truck and realize that 1) I am doing the best I can, and 2) next to me may not be the safest place on the road! Seriously though, 55-60 is the most I push it, she'll go faster but I don't want to hurt the truck. So I settle for a slow and scenic journey when I have to make a road trip. It will go a little faster ,but gets to moaning pretty loud about it
