Local lumber/hardware outfits don't seem to have them.. anyone know of a good source for just the hooks?
I saw that the 'usual suspects' carry the whole chain with a hook.. but I already have the chains.. just need the hooks.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

I then removed links on the chains until the tailgate was level and then I added some pipe insulators so the chains wouldn't bang on paint. But larger harware stores ave many diferant size 's' hooks.

Rainwater collected and rusted my chains pretty bad.
