For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 19 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 19 | Is there a site like this for old Ford trucks also.
I ask this because besides the two 1960 Chevy trucks. I aquired a 1950 Ford Pickup complete with Flathead V-8 for $300.00 from another party.
I guess $300.00 is my lucky number for buying complete old trucks.
I have always been a Bow-Tie man, but I couldn't resist the Flathead V-8. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | a lot of sites but NONE like this, this is the only one that you need to go to.. sell the fords and get more chevy's Redryder pixMy HotrodA veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The 'United States of America', for an amount of "up to and including my life."I am fighting cancer and I am winning the fight | Pain is part of life; misery is an option. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 19 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 19 | I knew when I hit the enter key, that the responses would be painful. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 310 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 310 | LOL that's asking for it! I've not been able to find a Ford or Dodge forum that covers as much ground and has as active a community.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

I really liked that truck, and if I were willing to own a Ford a '58 F-100 is a probable choice. But don't hold your breath, I don't have enough GM trucks yet.

Dont get me wrong I dont hate FQRDS some of my best friends hate I mean own FQRDS. I even own a "54" plymouth but by the grace of GOD it is "Shacking up" with a Stovebolt. There aren't that many post Model-A blue-ovals that I get excited over...the exceptions are the '48-'52 trucks and the '65-'66 trucks.
Grandad bought a used '65 Ford F-100 8-ft fleetside when he reitred my '54 Chevy, around 1973. The Ford was a stripper, in the FoMoCo equivalent to "juniper green", painted hub-caps, painted bumpers (white); 240 cid six ,three-speed, heater, electric wipers (single-speed).
Mom inherited it...needs a resto, but it was a decent truck. Its biggest flaw was/is cab cancer.
Good luck with your F-truck, 1960 !
