I know some new ones are available from Chevy Duty and others, but I was wondering if something I could get from the junk yard would work (cheap). Know of anything that will sort of bolt in? Thanks in advance for your advice. Rich | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 | Age plays a factor in the safety of the seatbelt. I don't know if I would want to go with something used or not. Not that I have tested them in a smash-up. I only have lap belts though and I mounted them with really big washers to make sure they'd not pull through if and when... | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 |

With a little work I got them in. Not the most professional looking but free. | | | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 43 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 43 | Hi Guys;

(not always visable from a cosmetic inspection)
I'd go with at least the lap and sholder belt or "three point" rig.. something to keep your face from going thru the windshield after your chest is crushed by the steering wheel.. that way you can have an open casket funeral if you ever hit something head on.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
