Hey, great! Way to go.

Of course the first thing to do is go touch it, run your hands along those curvy lines and say, "This is really mine. I'm going to have fun with this truck."

Set in it awhile and just drink in all of the fun you can imagine. Check the steering wheel for excess play, push the brake pedal a few times, shift a few times, and really look the truck over well.

Next come back to the computer and tell us all about it. Condition, running, pieces, rust, seat condition, etc. We WANT to hear details from you or anyone else that has a Stovebolt.

Have fun. The fellows here are encyclopedias of information just awaiting to be tapped, so ask away.

Have fun.

Welcome...

I know the feeling. I have had my 58 for about a month. Still feel like I haven't a clue. I did pick up (staff suggestion) the Brownell book "How to Restore Your Chevrolet Pickup". It has been very helpful. Good Luck! JB

Congratulations and welcome! You have a whole lot to learn that will be challenging and rewarding. You will have to spend more money than you've planned and it will take you longer than you think but you'll note there are hundreds of us here who think it is worth every stinkining penny and knuckle skin we've invested!

We are all hungry for your story and pictures, please submit them to the gallery. Check the top of this page for a link to the gallery.

Good luck!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Ed! You're in trouble now!! You've got an incurable disease. Fortunately, you've found a top-notch support group. Get ready for lots of hard work, trials, tribulations, great mysteries ("where is that oil coming from?") but also tremendous rewards, and a helluva lotta fun. Enjoy!!

Oh yeah, we LOVE pics!!! They keep the rest of us excited too.
