Due to the nature of this post and the very fine people that visit here, I will not be allowed to say the names that I call my truck. Thank you and have a good day.

This thread resembles the Lounge.
I call my truck, "the truck". Not to be mistaken for "the dumptruck". Then I have "the four door" and "the two door". I also have "the boat".
I guess not very inventive.
Oh, I forgot "the mower".
cool
Later tonight I might ride "the bike".

I still need to name mine. The Olds, I named Jenna (after, you guessed it, the porn star) after cramming 25 people in it. Everyone gets a ride!

Fran has named the truck "Dinsdale" after Dinsdale Piranha, a Monte Python character. Dinsdale Piranha was born on probation and if he didn't like you, he would nail your head to the floor.

It used to be called simply 'the truck', not to be confused with my wife's Ferd truck. But when she got a new car I got the Ferd back (which really is mine anyway)...so her car is called 'Little Red' and the '63 is now called 'Big Red' smile

Really don't have a name yet, although I am thinking maybe "The Fire Truck" since I am painting it white with flames on it. My wife calls it the "General Lee" because of the original orange paint.

There are two trucks in the PhatBoy Phleet:

#1: Lemonade because of the most recent color applied to this rig and besides that's what make with a lemon

and

#2: a '54 GMC longbed, the new addition my family has named Forrest originally because it was a deep green, but now we think of it as part of the Phatboy Gump Shrimp Cooperative Venture. "Life is like a box of choc-lates, you never know what yer going to get" describes our first couple of months of ownership!

"Gotta horse with no name--never understood naming old iron--oh well"

All of the cars that I've ever driven has their own personality. The Olds is pretty laid back, and it takes whatever, but if it doesn't want to do something, it'll let you know. The truck is just a balky old b!tch. shifting is a chore, steering is rough as hell, it never wants to do anything, and even after rewiring the whole truck to get the lights to work, if it doesn't want to run, it'll randomly drain teh battery or short out the lights.

Our "little '49" (the 1-ton) is "Charlie" after the PO who bought him new and was a grand gentleman.

The "Big '49" (the 4400 you see at the top of this page) is "Big Red" or "That collection of parts in the shop."

Our dump truck was "Bucky" after Bucky Dent (for obvious reasons, as well as for the ride...)

And da Cummins Dodgebolt be "Paniolo" 'cause it one bad horse hauler, brah.

Mahalo,
Waimanalo Johnnie

My 51 has been called "Ol Dog" ever since it came into the "Family". They got it sometime in the late sixties and gave it to me in 78. Still got a long way to go with it.
