Its a 54 GMC 3100 with i think a 216. It was on a farm in midwest OK. I had it transported to Salt Lake City by an excellent fellow and trailored it home to BC.

A '54 would have been a GMC 248 originally. and the model would be 100 not 3100. The 235 and 3100 model designation are both Chevy.
If its a GMC motor it will have a serial number behind the distributor near the starter. The first three characters will be the engine size.
My '55 1st GMC has a 248 from the factory, but had a GMC 270 when I bought it.

It would have to be a Canadian model though. It would be a 9300 rather then a 3100. Whatever it is, Welcome!

The reason we ask for a LINK to a picture (rather than posting the image itself):
1) it affects our bandwidth (which is costly)
2) it makes the page download slower (which really affects people on dial-up, and we've got a lot of them)
3) some European users have to "pay by the byte" (and we don't want to do that to them ... especially after they've seen the image once already!)
And a side benefit -- you can post a link to as big a picture as you like and it won't affect the rest of the posts in that thread!
AND ... it would be better to put all this info in a Gallery submission where it stays!

Nice score. Its definitely a '54 GMC-looks like a 100 with a chevy 235 in it. I had to replace the radiator/carb as well. If you have a heater, make sure the core is not leaking, and you may want to look at the water pump as well.
