Have been told that the 3rd row seats from some of the bigger SUV's ( Expedition, Escalade ), work well, but haven't actually put a tape measure on any yet. Also spoke with a guy who used a mid nineties Ranger XLT bench that looked good. My existing bench is in good shape - I will also talk to an Upholstery shop - see what they can do to make it better. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 90 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 90 | wick, try a middle seat out of a chrysler type mini van, ya might even find one in leather. They'd be low buck also. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 27 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 27 | Good ideas thanks. I did measure a ranger at work, too wide. Ill check out the mini vans this weekend at the pick and pay...the place is full of them! I m gonna measure a Helm seat out of a searay also. Wick

I still have the under seat gas tank, but may consider moving tank out of cab. Got my seat from local cab company who removed those seats to add wheelchair lifts and anchoring points. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 305 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 305 | im using 3ed row seat from a ford expedition leather and was free

I know the 06 F-150 I drive at work would be nice, but probably too wide. A newer van back seat out of a GM minivan might work... | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 | I'd like to hear how you 37 guys come out with your various seats and seat ideas. I think it would be nice to have a seat that would mount or be fixed on top of the stock gas tank and riser location with a back that could fold down so you could get to the small amount of storage space you have behind the seat with out too much of a problem. If I could come up with something like that, I think that would be of interest to me. Thanks, Joe

I know your 37 is smaller but the the best thing about these modern seats are luxuries like lumbar support and ability to flip the back foreward to access that bit of space. I'd comb the wrecking yards for some nice buckets. I mounted my seats first on a sheet of aluminum, then after I wanted my stock tank back I made another platform out of wood. Whatever you come up with it will be 1,000% better than the old stock back breaker. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 27 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 27 | So Far on the seat search, chry. minivan middle seat will work.$14.00 from the pick and pull. They have arm rest and are low back, plenty of colors to choose...there all cloth. Everything at the pick and pay is 15 years or older and is crushed after 45 days. I havent given up on a bench seat. To get leather and lumbar support, and maybe heat I will probley have to use Buckets.

I took off the adjuster slides under the seat and mounted it to the stock seat pedistal with small mounting tabs I welded on. It's a nice cloth seat with built in headrests and in my small cab, there's really no room for adjustment anyway. Jeff
