It says to use water and amonia to form, but no instructions were given. What dilution rate do I use? Do you get the piece wet or damp? You get it to wet and you'll have pieces of cardboard in your hand. Don't know about a '41, but on my '51 it took an extra set of hands. Many household ammonias are already diluted - check your bottle before starting. Try putting it in a spray bottle and give a gentle mist on the back to prevent over-wetting the headliner.
For my AD, the headliner arrived rolled, so I laid it out on a large table and sat heavy books on it for several days before installing it. That worked really well. As Cecil said, my project (54) also took a helper to get it in.
Good luck. | | |
