Radials make a world of difference to the steering. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 | I agree with Va.FireTruck. 8.25 X 20, is a good size for your truck. It would have came standard from the factory 7.50 X 20 front, & 8.25 X 20 rear. I've got 8.25's, all the way around, on my '46 Chevy 2 ton, & '53 Chevy COE 2ton. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 243 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 243 | is it hard to find folks to mount these split rim tires? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 | I just mounted two fronts tonight. You need to make sure you have the wider wheels to mount the 8.25's on. Most 7.50 wheels are an inch narrower than the 8.25 wheels, Scott | | | | | Joined: May 2002 Posts: 155 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2002 Posts: 155 | Any tire shop that sells big truck tires will do it as well as truck stops...

I ended up mounting them myself rather than hunt all over town to try and find someone to do them. | | |
