Greetings from Texas. I've been fortunate to carry on the family ownership of a 1957 GMC Napco. It's been in the family since it was purchased new by my Grandfather, from my Dad, at his dealership in Burwell, Nebraska. It spent it's entire life in West/Central Nebraska until I received a call from my sister in late 2020. "How would you like to have Grandpa's Jimmy?". Shortly thereafter it was enroute to the Houston area. I have the original Bill of sale, but not much more as far as documentation. It is a line built Napco with a factory 347 Pontiac engine/manual tranny/89" bed. It's mostly original except for the wheels and has had 1 repaint during a restoration/preservation in 2001. I've learned a lot about these trucks over the last couple of years just by reading posts on this site and appreciate all the knowledge I've gained.

I'm sure the Stovebolt Collective would be more than happy to help with your NAPCO. The best way is to post specific questions in the various areas in The Shop sections. We have most of them covered.

Thanks Peggy. I've attached a few pictures. One is during the 2001 restoration (note door replacement). My next project is to replace the diamond plate (my brother in law installed) in the bed, back to wood.

Your truck looks absolutely great! So glad you could do the pictures. I'm guessing that's a before and a few afters.
There's been some folks in here with diamond plate in the beds. Easy search from the Search menu. I just typed in diamond plate.
Do a search for NAPCO, too, if you are interested.

1962 C10 with a 235 6cyl -- all of the drive train seems to be original. Some of this story is in the Side Lot Some people like a new truck. I liked the old ones.

Thanks for all the compliments. I've already had a lot of fun tinkering with it. Also, my son and Grandson love it! Gives me satisfaction that it will stay in the family for at least the next 2 generations.

The rims are aftermarket Pacer 320c Mod rims. My sister picked them out during the restoration in 2001 and they seem to work well with the truck. I may go slightly wider when the time comes.
